Week of June 23, 2013

Sunday
It was so good to see Silvia and her family at little McCartney's blessing. (Val's newest little one.)
Besides Val, Jensea, Tristi, Chandler, and Creighton were also there. Mark and Ruth were also there with their family.  You can sure tell Val likes the Beetles since his sons are Lennon, Harrison, and McCartney.  Here are some of the pictures.

Monday - Friday
I lost the camera, sorry. I know the pictures are the fun things to see. I took a few with my phone, but most of the week was taken up with therapy, gardening, working with Dad on his father's book, and helping Tricia Brown's daughter-in-law with her genealogy.  Oh, and also Home and Visiting Teaching.  I went to the doctor on Friday and I'm going to go to one therapy session next week. Hopefully that will be all.  I'll see what else I need to do and do it on my own.

Joe's family moved in on Thursday and it's good to have them back.

Friday
Went to the Family History Library, Visiting Teaching, Dr.'s and the play that night, Seussical the Musical.  Morgan Hawkes was Cat in the Hat.  The whole play was very good, but Morgan was, well, Morgan - it was amazing.

Ellen and Mike after the play.

Saturday
Cleaned my corner and found the camera.

We cleaned the patio and found this canopy.  Joe, Mike, and Tesha tried putting it on the castle.  It worked! We'll have it up for the reunion so it will be shady up there. I think we will have a lot of fun together and it will be so good to have all that can be here come. Thank you for making the effort. It just is good to see you together and the grandkids playing with each other.

Earlier in the week I went on a walk with Colleen and kids. Caleb loves to ride his bike, but not a helmet, so I told him this story.  It is now for all of you kids. When Aunt Silvia's family was traveling from Arizona to Utah one year they had a terrible car accident.  Silvia and some of the kids went to St. George to the hospital, but they needed to send Tristi to the Primary Children's Hospital.  I went to be with her.  While I was there, a 14 year old boy was in because he had been hit on his bike in his neighborhood.  He had several surgeries, but he didn't make it.  He died. The doctor said if he had of been wearing his helmet he would be alive.  Please, wear helmets, even if you just go for a short ride.  The next day when Caleb came down he had his helmet on.

Joe, Tesha, Mike, Ellen, & Josh went to see the play. We watched Zach.

Chris and his family came down with their new family pictures. Just before they left, Noelle said your foot is as long as from your elbow to your hand. We all looked and said it seemed way bigger than your foot, so everyone was measuring - even Zander. It was true.  They measured their foot to their arm and it was the same length.

1828 Dictionary Word for the Week:
Undaunted/Daunted- “ Not daunted; not subdued or depressed by fear;”/Daunted-to faint or swoon, to repress or subdue courage; to intimidate; to dishearten” (Alma 57:20 “those two thousand and sixty were firm and undaunted”)

This was good for Dad and I. This gets really old and discouraging as slow as our bones are healing.  There is improvement, so we just need to not let it get the best of us as we are improving.
I love you all and look forward to seeing you.
