1. I can't believe it has been so long since I posted last. But then I'm not
sure what happened to the month of February either.
Congratulations to Ryan and Val! Hudson's pictures are
on the family Facebook Page. I'll take some pictures when I see them tomorrow:)
2. Mike hung out his Levis when they came to do laundry. That's something
you don't usually see in February.
3. I have been taking pictures of artifacts to go in the history I'm writing.
This vase was painted by my Grandma Ella Smith Capener's sister, Lutie.
Joyce had it and now they are dividing up things among her children and grandchildren.
That is the problem with being the younger one of a large family.
I don't have anything of my grandmother's except one book that Tammy Capener gave to me.
4. Dad took me to the temple on Valentine's Day and then we went out to dinner.
5. I'm helping Ann with some Family History. We have found another
spot on my mother's side. Marri and Sophi also cleared some names, so we
have plenty to do baptisms again.
6. Those babies and Amanda are getting bigger!
7. I had just heard from one from an interview that Grandma Ella Capener used to prop a book
up at the kitchen sink while she did the dishes. Their home is Uncle Lee's home along the freeway exit heading to Logan (the house that Rob and Emily lived in for awhile).
Anyway, we had Rob's kids with us on Sunday, so we drove up the driveway to show them the house. The door was open, so Dad went in to take a picture. I'm not sure what the rest of the house
looks like, but this made such a good picture for the story.
8. The girls had such a wonderful time all weekend. Chris's family is finally better, and Amelia has been sick for so long I think they were very happy to spend time with cousins.
Marri, Sophie, and Noelle. They are checking out Pintrist for something to sew
at Grandma's with more cousins. We will not do it without Kate!
9. They played deer tag even though there were not very many cousins. They had so much fun they played for two hours even though it was much colder than last week.
10. As they talked about what they had done, they started laughing until Noelle
cried and Sophie literealy fell on the floor.
11. We all made pizza's, but I was so busy I forgot to take pictures, so here is the sink.
It's a good thing we ate on paper plates.
12. Since it was going to be Cecily's birthday on Monday, we all sang
Happy Birthday to her Sunday night.

14. While at Rob's babysitting, we went to Salt Lake and took a picture of the home
my Grandpa and Grandma Capener lived in. I think it is pretty much the same on the outside.
I got several pictures, but no one was home. The address is: 369 East 3rd Avenue.
15 & 16. . After sightseeing houses and before we went to the Centerville Cemetery,
we needed to take poor, starving Jeanetta to "Chick-la-fe" (as Jetta calls it) in hopes that we would also see Spencer.
17. Off to the Cemetery where we saw William Capener and Ellen Rigby's
headstone. Notice the "Faith in Every Footstep plaque just above the 'E'
Do you remember when we put that on in 1997 in the 150 year celebration?
18. In the same cemetery are my Grandmother Ella Smith Capener's parents.
I have never seen their headstones.

21. Monday was Cecily's birthday and Sophie planned a surprise birthday party for her.
It went very well and was quite a party. They even had dinner!
22. Sophie was the school teach and they had different classes, including history, science, and art. They made several art projects which Sophie is so good at.

24. In one of the histories it tells how Grandma's parents met. The Garn home was across the street and up a block from where William Henry Jex Smith was staying. He spent time at the Garn home and the two of them were married. (She was only 17.)
25. William Henry Jex's parents returned back east leaving William and his brother John
remained in Utah. William would stay with George Chase (Chase Lane is named after him.)
26. All that is left from a large, beautiful home is the original little log cabin.
27. Now to William Capener's home. Jetta is standing in front of it.
We met the owner, and he was very nice. I got a lot of pictures of the side and out back.
28. Jetta in front of the Church that William Capener helped build. He finished it when he was 71 years old.
29. We didn't know where Ella's parents, the Smith's lived. We knew they bought the "Argyle farm and house." We looked in the recorder's office at the city offices and found the deed.
He bought 100 acres in four different lots for 7,000 dollars. It is in Woods Cross.
30. From the description, these pictures are part of the farm they would have owned.
We have had a wonderful month while babysitting and being in the temple 2 days a week.
We are leaving early Saturday morning for my brother Paul's house in Redding, CA. for several days. We will leave from there and go to Tom's and babysit for them while he interviews for the job with the scout office in South Ogden. We pray that it will go well.
We then are heading south. Exact plans aren't made yet.
We will finish up the trip with a few days at Pete & Tammy's. He has been put in the High Priest group in his ward, and Dad is ordaining him on the 15th. We will be home on the 18th.
The Brigham City temple will then reopen and we will be back for our shift.
I love you all very much. With all the turmoil in the world at this time, I find
much peace in the gospel of Jesus Christ and in the Plan of Salvation.
