Week of June 23, 2014

News from New York
Elder James wanted to learn how to bake bread before he left, so we did it the night before transfers.

We always seem to love our Elders, but there was something special about Elder James. Maybe it's just because he is the one we had to say good-by to this week. He is going to USU, though, so we will for sure see him again. He will start school there a year from this fall.
The whole tree is filled with flowers.  It is a Catalpa Tree.
 The flowers are so beautiful
This is the size of the leaves on the tree.

Our Branch Picnic
The water bottle launcher that Dad build. The kids had a ball. Between it and the sling shot, the kids were entertained the whole time. I didn't walk over and get a picture of the sling shot, so check last weeks blog if you didn't see it because it is amazing.

Elder Reyne made green jello with carrots since that is a Utah thing. never seen one like this, though!

Brother Kruppenbacher is the older brother. He is the one we did so much family history research for.

One of the 3 young women in the branch.
Bro. Kosorek was the cook. he is the mission leader. Kelly Britton is a good friend and they feed us every so often.

Chicken cooked in his smoker. It melts in your mouth it is so tender and moist.

Patriotic program. We did the one we did at Heritage school and the Riverside constitution Day.
It went very well. Dad and Harry singing, "My Country tis of Thee"

It was just  wonderful to see everyone visit and have a good time. We had 31 people there, so that made us very happy.

I love and miss you all. Have some way fun parties while John and family are in.
Happy Fourth of July. We must never forget that our freedoms are God given and we need to do our part in defending them. We will surely miss Riverside's 4th of July party. Give everyone our love. We will be in Windom, which is in the top of the Catskills mountains watching the fireworks.

Week of June 16, 2014

Our District
It was transfers and we lost Elder James. I honestly don't know how you delt with transfers. I'm glad I don't have to worry about it.

Another beautiful flower on a tree that we don't know the name of.

The "Sling shot" - More like a catapult. It is amazing how far it sends a ball.

Have a wonderful week. Hopefully tomorrow I get this cast off and get one that I can take off and on.
It is bothersome. It must be to teach me patience.
I love each of you very much. I love hearing from you. Love Mom

Week of June 9, 2014

For Father's Day
At Achievement Days the girls decorated ties. There is a thrift store that has ties for 50 cents. They had a lot of fun and turned out some very original ties.

More beautiful flowers.

So wonderful to have Joe & Tesha's family here.
Little Leah has grown so much and is so cut. Ben and Zack had so much fun and they got rid of all the 'bad guys' in our whole yard.
Banana Splits with Stewarts whipped topping.

Saturday we went to Albany to the New York State Museum. Very fun.

There is a carousel on the 4th floor. It was great.
