California: Brother Paul, Tom, John, Peter, Jacoby home

1.1st Stop was to my brother Paul's home. We had a wonderful time. Dad would put puzzles together with him and I helped A. Ellen do Family History. It was a wonderful break for her. We had so many good visits with both of them. I put about 50 pictures from growing up years in our family and he loved looking at them with me. He recognized Daddy and Mother, but was surprised that we had the same father and mother. We had a great time. He is very gentle and sweet to A. Ellen.

2. We visited with their daughter-in-law, Becky and her family. I just love them all. She is absolutely amazing. Here is a good decorating idea if any of you have an old fashioned bathtub. I think it is the favorite place to sit in their family room.
This is their two daughters, Serene and Annelise.
 3. Their son Nels is a beautiful piano player, as are all their children.
 4. We went for a walk at a park. Paul just turned 80 and A. Ellen is 81

5. Then we drove down to Tom's to babysit. Mel teaches ballet in their garage. This is Taylor.

6. We didn't do any sightseeing or anything. We babysat and had a great time with the kids and Susan came down twice. We made curtains and looked at Ellen's wedding pictures.

7. So Becky showed me how to make pillow cases, and I have had so much fun.
This will be everyone's birthday presents this year. They are so easy that nearly everyone has sewed their own while I sat next to them. Here is Taylor with butterflies and Cambria with My Little Pony. I have a lot of material for everyone to choose from.

8. Max has space and Gabe has cars and trucks.
We are very excited to have Tom and Mel closer to family.
Congratulations, Tom, on your new job.

9. We have never driven down the road from San Jose to Ridgecrest.
We saw some very beautiful scenery down the center of California.

10. Danny and Kirsten both take ballet. Kirsten is 2nd from the last.
They are both very good.

 11. Danny turns 12 in May, so we did some Family History and cleared some names.
Hopefully Nikki and Katrina can meet us in St. George or Las Vegas for a southern baptism!
Of course, he cleared more girls than boys because that was the family!
But Katrina and I stayed up till 11:00 Monday night and cleared another family that had several boys, so it will all work out!
Sam is already taking a great interest also.

12. More pillow case fun! Sam, Timmy, Maren, Kirsten, Danny
with Grandpa and Grandma.

13. We went through Death Valley on our way to St. George.
It was 96 degrees. Kirsten, Danny holding Maren, Sam, Timmy.

14. Sewing with Olivia

15. We went to Snow Canyon. It was so beautiful. The girls jumped out
of the car and climbed to the top of the big rock.

16. Dad, Katrina, Bekah, Tamy, Olivia, Peter.

17. The girls thought it would be fun to set a fancy table for Sunday dinner.
It was beautiful.

18. We had a wonderful session at the temple Monday morning.
Peter has a beautiful picture in front of the temple Sunday night. He'll have to post that on the
family web site. My batteries were gone.

19. Playing at the park.

20. Family night games

21. Yeah!!! We picked up David and Jacoby from the University Hospital
and they came home to their FAMILY

I just can't express enough gratitude to my Father in Heaven for
all the blessings He has sent and continues to send to our family.
I love you all so much. May we all strive to deepen our relationship
with Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, for therein peace is found.
