Week of September 15th 2013

Sunday
We started a Sunday School class on researching. It was fun to show/help people who hadn't seen it lately. It still amazes me how much easier it is getting. It has advanced so much in just the last 4 month. It really is a miracle. Check it our: familysearch.org
We love getting our weekly call from Joe & Tesha. It's so good to see them and the kids. They are doing well here they are on their 'new' couch. The ward members have really taken good care of them. They went to the beach and it was only 30 min. away.

Monday
We had Chris's kids come down and do some picking in the garden and then we made onion rings out of the several of the biggest onions. It was fun to do and is becoming a fall tradition!
Caleb, Noelle, Mallory, and me in our onion ring assembly line

Draining them. They are really good, but I'm sure not good for you. Oh well, it's once a year.
Mallory, Noelle, & Caleb - Cierra and Josh are in Cross Country, so they were not arounnd
We also picked the table grapes. Noelle holding the last of the zucchini brownies with the bowl of onion rings and grapes.

Dad got the camera. This is one of my favorite times of the day. I wake up early and read and study. I don't have to fix a  big breakfast, pack lunches, get kids ready for school - it's not too bad:)

Tuesday
We ran to Logan and stopped in quick to see Ellen and Mike. If you dion't already know, Mike changed his major and is now going to be a math teacher. He is majoring in Math and minoring in Chinese. He is way excited. He is already planning out the first day of school, as a teacher.

It was Constitution Day celebration at the Riverside Park. I love how patriotic our community is.
Dad had a part and so did the YMYW, but that picture didn't turn out very good.
Christ and Colleen also had a part.
Of course, there were refreshments and Zander liked the too!

Wednesday
We went to the temple with U. Bob and A. Anne and we forgot to take a picture. But we also saw Mike and Ellen again. We took math books over to Mike.
Our days all week have been consumed in working on Grandpa Jensen's book.
It is coming along so well.

Thursday
Caleb's soccer game. It was great to watch him.

 Friday
We went to the Family History Center for our 9-1 shift, worked on Grandpa's book, picked tomatoes for David, more book, and they arrived about 9 o'clock.

Saturday
We combined a big day of canning with a birthday celebration for Robert (next Wednesday). We had Caleb, Dusty, Kaden, and Suzy over to spend the day while we canned tomatoes.
The kids are 'playing' video games. They are pretending they are in the game. They had a great time.

Cute cousins - Suzy and Alaina - They had so much fun playing little girls.
Otter pop time. The last ones of the season

Happy Birthday Robert, 6 years old this Wednesday

Happy Birthday Suzy - 4 years old this Saturday

We had 3 bushel of tomatoes and we did: 52 jars of whole tomatoes, 19 quarts of Salsa, and 35 2-quarts of grape juice. It was a big canning day, but we got a lot done.

That night we went to the High Priest dinner and it was great to sit for a bit and have a nice meal. We then went back home while David and Amanda ran to the Bingham's to see Jamin's new baby.

1828 Dictionary Word for the Week

Peaceable-“Free from private feuds or quarrels. Quiet; undisturbed; not agitated with passion;” (Moroni 7:3 “I would speak unto you that are of the church, that are peaceable followers of Christ”)

Henceforth- “From this time forward.” (Moroni 7:3 “that have obtained a sufficient hope, by which ye can enter into the rest of the Lord, from this time henceforth until ye shall rest with him in heaven”)

Rest- “a state of reconciliation to God; Peace; that on which any thing leans or lies for support. Final hope.” (Moroni 7:3 from this time henceforth until ye shall rest with him in heaven. … “I judge these things of you because of your peaceable walk with the children of men.” Vs.4 The amount of ‘rest’ that I have with my savior is directly tied with how I am forgiving and loving to others.

May we all have charity and forgiveness one to another that we may become
"Peaceable followers of Christ"
