Week of November 11

Sunday
We had a beautiful Sunday with Paul and family.  It was their Stake Conference with the area broadcast.  Some of the quotes I liked: "To strengthen family - Family Prayer, FHE, Gospel Study Instruction, and Family Activities."  I hadn't heard the gospel study before, but I can see how important that would be. "If Satan brings down a family, he brings down generations."  "W are raising our children in enemy territory."  Elder Holland said we still need pioneering faith even if we are not in 'pioneering circumstances.' and Pres. Eyring said: "Every day we decide whether to be optimistic or pessimistic."  I had all the finished temple names in my purse waiting to be filed, so they made good cards to draw pictures on.  Sammi sure drew a cute picture of the temple on the back of a couple sealing card.  It was an original and I am sure our ancestors were good with it.
Here is Paul fixing Sammi's hair for church.  Sheila and I were both there, but Paul does such a much better job than either one of us.

Sunday evening.  I just had to take a picture of Paul with his little son.

Monday
On Monday, we just hung around. It was so fun to just spend time with everyone.  Here is Nikki practicing her states with the state map I made several years ago.  I hope everyone is still using it.  We played some fun games with it.

For lunch Dad, Paul, Mike and I went to an Indian restaurant.  It was actually good food.  We had such a wonderful time.  It was hard to say good-bye.

Tuesday
Time to drive home!  Because we had to be at play practice by 6:30, we left at 5:15.  We are definitely back in Utah!  Here is Mike at a rest stop on the way home. First snow in 2 years!

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
We must have spent time just getting back into the groove of things on Wednesday and Thursday.  Nothing stands out, and if I don't take pictures, I don't remember.  I know I have done a lot of Family History this week!  On Friday, Joe and Tesha came over.  This picture doesn't show it as well, but Zack is walking all by himself.  He can stand up and just take off.  We played a lot of games on Friday night and had so much fun.

Saturday
We had play practice until about 1:30 and then John and Stacey's family came over on Saturday afternoon.  We also had Chris' kids with us as they were taking Cierra out for her 16th birthday.  Everyone had such a good time.  Joe and Tesha came back, so we all had a lot of visiting, playing, and more games.  Ben and Timmy had a good time with a watermelon still from our garden that was downstairs.  Why ask for someone to cut a piece when all you have to do is drop and break!

Mike had over some friends in the evening and I made pizza for everyone.  It was a great day and a good way to end up the week.
 It's Ninetendo time with cousins!
Too big of a day for Timmy.
Chris, Colleen and Cierra came back.  This is just what Colleen needed at this time of her pregnancy-a reminder that it will all be worth it.
Of course, it is skit time.  Malary and Kirsten put on skit after skit after skit.  There has not been this much giggling at our house since the last big get together.
Caleb joins in the skit time!

It was a great week.  Very busy again, but that is life, and it is good.  I'm so thankful for all of our family.  We look forward to the pie fest and homecoming next week.
