October - Fall, California, Babysitting, Halloween

It's been a great fall (except for a few extra cold days).

1. Sons of the Utah Pioneers was a tour with Eli Anderson
and all his wagon collection. It is amazing. We took Caleb
with us and he had a good time also. He has the largest
collection of wagon in the US.

2. We met with Marion and family at Angie's in Logan
and we helped "Clean the Sink." They all had bumper
sticker, so we got it! We really had a great time and it
was wonderful to finally meet Bella. (John's girlfriend)

3. Our grape harvest wasn't as good as usual. But we
did get some and it tastes great!

4. Joe's famous "Apple puff pancakes."

5. The cement on the house looks wonderful!

6. We went on a trip to California. It's been a long time
since we've been to John's. We had a wonderful time. We
love road trips. I like to read aloud and Dad likes to drive.
This is Timmy with the Star Ward headband to wear to
Disneyland when we go on Monday. It's fascinating to
watch the machine go.

7. I love to go and watch the kids at ballet. Ruth Ellen is
in the center in the golden ballet outfit. Stacy taught the class.

8. I love sitting around the table and visiting. The kids were
all in the other room/rooms and were having a wonderful
time by the sounds of the laughter. Paul brought Elise, Nikki, Sammi,
and Chloe, on a quick trip over to see the play. Oh, it was
so good to be there with the both of them.

9. Playing lucky under's the next day. We were now in
the library visiting. We're building our library patterned
after there's but not quite as big.

10. We never got a picture in our shirts with Elise and
she made them all, so we took a picture of the three of us.

11. A picture of everyone before Paul's family went home.
Front: Timmy, Maren, Chloe; Middle: Kirsten, Danny,
Nikki, Elise holding Ruth E., and Sammi. Back: Sam

12. On Monday, John & Stacey  were planning to go to
Disneyland, so we decided to also. We started with
Star Wars. It really was amazing. It felt like you were
actually walking through the streets of the movie.

13. Danny, Kirsten with Ruth E. in front, Timmy, Grandma
with Maren in front, Grandpa, and Sam

14. This is where you can build your own droid.

15. Home to see Luke. He's now 2 years old. He got
some cute, toy stainless steel pots and pans. He's sure growing!

16. We babysat Jennetta and Scott for a weekend when
Rob and Emily were on their Ragnar. It was so great to
have them here. Of course, we had German pancakes
and cinnamon syrup.

17. We were farmers and gathered eggs! And thanked them
for our breakfast.

18. Jetta and Scott enjoying the basement of our house!

19. We went to Logan and got Sam, Michael and Ellen
and saw the Pumpkin walk in No. Logan.

20. They had a Jack-O-Lantern Mt. Rushmore, so we
had to have a picture in front of it since we went there
this summer. Dad with Michael on his shoulders,
Mom, Scott, Jetta, Sam in the front.

21. We took Olivia and Scott to the temple to do a few
baptisms. It was a first! First for Scott to go, and first
for Olivia and I to be witnesses at the baptisms.

22. Apple picking! The Buchanan's had apples and
offered them to us. They are so delicious. We've been
running the dehydrators tons. They are so good.

23. We began making the Halloween suckers. We
really did have a good time doing it.

24. We went down on Sunday night to take the kids back
and spend the night with them and go on our mission the
next day. We took Hawaiian Haystacks down for dinner.
When Steven came over, he took care of most of the
leftovers. It was good to feed a big appetite:)

25. Leah, Sam, Catharine, Michael in front of Zander
and Kira's son James in the back. They were
enjoying their root beer suckers.

26. It's Halloween! Tesha with Linda, Joe with his new sword
for the his costume, Catharine, Leah, Ben, Zach was Gandolph
and I'm not sure why he wasn't in the picture.

27. Tesha as Zelda and Joe as Leaf? They are from a
video game, so I'm not sure. Tesha got him a sword
and surprised him.

28. Emily was Ursala, Luke was the little fish, Flounder,
and Mike was Arial.

29. Mia and Zander. All the rest are on
GroupMe.

31. Showing Scott and Jennetta where rooms will be.

It's half-way into November, so it's hard to write a message
about October. It was filled with lots of Grand kids, even
more canning, and a wonderful trip to see John's family.
Danny and Kirsten did a wonderful job in "Newsies." It's so
wonderful to watch the grand kids grow up and develop
their talents, begin choosing careers, and live such good lives.
General Conference was amazing. It's so good to listen to the
talks again. Such good council to help us do what we need
to do, so we won't have fear in these troubled times. We know
Jesus Christ will come again and usher in the Millennium.
I'm happy to be alive in these exciting days.
I love each one of you very much, Mom & Grandma
