CONGRATULATIONS TO ELLEN AND DANIEL!!!!
WE ARE SO THRILLED
Since the days all blend together, I haven't been saying what happens each day.
We seem to run (actually driving a lot) to keep up.
I know this picture does not do the rain justice, but it was literally a downpour. We had to pull over to the side of the road until it let up. This is out the window of the car.
I never showed you pictures of the finished purses. Here are Emily and Charleen.
Last Taco Tuesday
Our activity day, "In the Strength of the Lord." This station we learned that David conquered Goliath because he went in the name of the Lord. I wish this sling shot was ours, but we can't bring it home. It is amazing how far the balls go.
Another station: When the children of Israel were hit by the firey serpents and all they had to do was look at Moses holding the Brass Serpent and they would live. They played freeze tag and died if hit and looked to the picture to live. (Sis. Brittan didn't want to be in the picture.)
Another station: Learned about how America won the revolution because "In God we Trust"
The rockets were for the Star Spangled Banner and 'rockets red glare.'
This is our and we'll bring it home unless it doesn't fit. Dad made it, so he can do it again.
Another station: Captain Moroni and the Title of Liberty story.
"Come in the strength of the Lord"
We showed some short clips from "17 Miracles" and we ate biscuits (from the story) along with some sliced meat, grape jelly, cheese sticks and grapes. They loved the clips from the movie and how the pioneers prayed to Heavenly Father and looked to Him for guidance and deliverance.
Picture with our Title of Liberty. Some of the kids are missing.
Friday we went up to the top of the Catskills in Ashland and visited Mary Aull and did Family History with her from 10 a.m. to 2 in the afternoon. We had a wonderful time. She is such a lady with so many talents. I took this picture of her kitchen counter of the herbs she was drying. She knows so much about the different herbs and how to use them. Then she fed us 'lunch' which consisted of a ham dinner.
Now we are at Brother Bulich's about 2 1/2 hours later for our dinner appointment. He has an amazing garden with a friend and everything but the pork chop came from the garden.
There is a tomato, green pepper, & onion sauce over new potatoes. The next three things are actually fried zucchini. He blends them with other ingredients, makes a ball and then fries them. They were so good. Then there are string beans and swiss chard all from the garden. Then he took us about 8 miles away to where his garden is. And yes, were were almost sick with that much food.
BTW, the house, lake, hunting cabin, were amazing. His house is on about 80 acres of beautiful woods. So many places are like that. He has it up for sale for just over 1 million dollars in case anyone is interested.
Our garden never looked quite like this. I think rain makes a huge difference.
I love you all very much.
I feel the blessings of the Lord daily.
